Role and Responsibilities
As Sales Director, you’ll be responsible for building and driving our sales strategy in the Benelux region – a key growth market for hummel. You will take a pioneering role in shaping our market entry, ensuring that hummel is positioned for long-term success and sustainable growth.This means balancing short-term sales execution with the development of a scalable business foundation.
- Develop and implement the regional sales strategy with a focus on growth and market development within sports and teamwear
- Identify, develop, and maintain key account relationships within the industry
- Negotiate and secure commercial agreements with a focus on long-term partnerships
- Build brand presence in collaboration with marketing and product teams
- Establish effective local business structures and processes that support growth
- Analyze market trends and competitors to ensure optimal positioning
- Report to the Group Sales Director and collaborate closely with international teams and HQ in Aarhus, Denmark
We are looking for an experienced and results-driven leader who combines commercial acumen with a passion for sport and brand building. To succeed in the role, we expect that you:
- Bring solid experience in B2B sales and key account management, preferably within the sports industry
- Have a proven track record of building and developing markets – ideally in a start-up or market-entry context
- Possess strong negotiation skills and the ability to create long-lasting relationships
- Combine a strategic mindset with a hands-on, entrepreneurial approach
- Communicate fluently in English and Dutch
- Have a natural passion for sport
