how you will contribute
To achieve its ambitious strategy Randstad is moving to a globally harmonized future state operating model. Standardization of tools and processes will support and drive this (digital) transformation. As part of this transformation, we are migrating from scattered local legacy systems to a set of state-of-the-art core systems which include our app, websites, front-, mid- and back-office.
The product owner c-one is a key member of the product owner team and is a business and customer proxy responsible for working with Product Management and other stakeholders—including other POs and PMs—to define and prioritize stories in the team backlog and to streamline priorities while maintaining the conceptual and technical integrity of the features or components for the team.This allows the team to effectively address the priorities of the roadmap initiatives.
As PO for Order to Cash, you work on the processes that enable our clients to use our services enabling assignments to move all the way to invoicing. You will work on topics such as assignments, timesheets, expenses, document signing, document management, invoicing, and support, among others.As a Product Owner, you are passionate about crafting an amazing user experience and have a good eye for design. Moreover, you understand that great UX comes with great tech craftsmanship and you’re ready to get involved in technical conversations, are knowledgeable about APIs, can draw functional flows, dive into integrations requirements, and more.
What you don’t know you’re eager to learn as you go. You excel at connecting with multiple teams, aligning people around a vision, and creating features that delight users.
who will you work with
You collaborate closely with the other POs on where, how, and when to display your features for the best user experience and also work closely with the Product Manager, Implementation Manager, and Delivery Manager on gathering the right input for each new country or opco.
You work with your BA, team lead and development team(s) to translate epics into sprints, arriving at clear definitions of done to optimize development time. Next to that, you play an important role in your peer group of product owners. Aligning dependencies and joint feature requests.A very important group are your global stakeholders, they help you define requirements and set priorities. Finally, you act as a representative of your products towards our 39 markets across the globe.
what you will be doing- Solution, technology and team facing.
- Contributes to vision and program backlog.
- Aligns with Product Manager on greater strategy & vision and understands the rationale/business reasons behind building a feature. Has enough experience and business knowledge to interpret and augment these features, and frequently comes up with own ideas.
- Owns team backlog and implementation and establishes the sequence of backlog items based on program priorities, and dependencies with other teams
- Defines iterations and stories and accepts iterations increments.
- Establishes story acceptance criteria, accepts stories into the baseline.
- key participant in all team ceremonies (daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint planning, sprint review/demo, and retrospective)
- Protect product team from work that is not focused on valuable, aligned outcomes
- Collaborate with UI/UX team, product team, and product leaders to establish timeline workflows and goals
- Educate team on market, competitors and customer needs
your background
You have been working in an operational role in the staffing industry and are looking for a change. In your operational role, you’ve always used data as a basis for your decision-making. You have managed people and projects. Or you might come from an IT background and have experience as a Product Owner.
Your team members, peers and stakeholders are spread across countries and time zones. That’s why we’re looking for someone who thrives in a diverse cultural environment, and has a demonstrated flexibility in communication skills to be successful in the international context of this role.
Next to that, you bring;- JIRA & Confluence knowledge or similar product management tools
- working knowledge of product development
- a good basic understanding of architecture principles and components
- proficiency in the use of analytic tools
- ability to prioritize effectively
- excellent verbal and written communication skills (at least in English)
- ability to work with large teams in a matrix environment
- understanding of design quality standards
- ability to work with hybrid and remote teams
- empathetic to the local choices and decisions but capable of interpreting these into global and standardized approaches
- “can do” mentality and flexibility
- strong collaborative interpersonal skills to work across diverse, global teams
- strong problem-solving and analytical skills

about the Talent & Expertise Group in Global IT
