As part of Maersk's strategic expansion into e-commerce logistics, it acquired B2C Europe, a specialist in cross-border parcel distribution across Europe.B2C Europe now operates as a key unit within Maersk's end-to-end logistics offering, with finance and operations partially centralized through a global Shared Services Center (SSC) in India.
Functie
In this role, you will serve as the financial guardian of the B2C France Interpost entity and act as a key liaison between local operations, the Shared Services Center in India, and Maersk's global finance teams. You will guide transactional execution, drive process improvements, and ensure clean financial reporting.
Key responsibilities:
- Act as the main point of contact for the SSC in India, providing guidance and oversight on PTP, OTC, and ATR processes.
- Own the analysis and integrity of the Balance Sheet and P&L; identify and delegate corrections where needed.
- Lead monthly and annual closing processes, ensuring timeliness and accuracy.
- Manage VAT filings and ensure compliance with customs and import duties (especially in relation to Brexit procedures).
- Collaborate on the financial and operational onboarding of new customers into the platform (end-to-end integration).
- Provide proactive and reactive process improvement suggestions.
- Maintain contact with external partners, such as payroll providers.
- Work across Navision (used by B2C Europe) and SAP (used by Maersk HQ).
- Ensure compliance with Dutch GAAP; familiarity with IFRS and revenue recognition is an advantage.
Profiel
You are a finance professional with strong technical knowledge and a hands-on approach. You know how to oversee and steer accounting processes, and you're confident in engaging cross-functional and international teams.
You bring:
- A degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (HBO/WO level).
- 5+ years of experience in a financial control or accounting function.
- Solid understanding of Dutch GAAP (IFRS knowledge is a plus).
- Hands-on experience with financial closings, VAT filings, and balance sheet/P&L analysis.
- Experience working with or managing Shared Service Centers.
- Familiarity with ERP systems like Navision and/or SAP.
- Strong communication skills and fluency in English (Dutch is a plus).
- A flexible, independent, and team-oriented mindset.
- Willingness to work 4 days per week on-site (5 days during onboarding).
- Salary between €80,000 and €100,000 including holiday allowance.
