We are looking for a talented and experienced HR Generalist to join our dynamic team!
The function
In this generalist role, you are co-responsible for all HR activities from A to Z for the employees in the Netherlands (two branches with approximately 300 employees). From recruitment and selection to outflow - in other words, the entire HR cycle.
You have your own departments where you are responsible for the local and international HR processes. You are the first HR point of contact for both employees and managers, providing information and giving (un)solicited advice. In addition to the operational activities, there is also room for new initiatives and participation in employee groups (e.g. CSR action and DEI group). The foundation of the department is in place and you strive for the continuous improvement of HR services for the employees and the organization.
In this position, you will have to deal with a wide variety of employees. From forklift driver to a PhD Chemist, from local temporary workers to international home office employees. Although the HR issues are broadly the same, each challenge requires a different approach.
In this role, you are expected to take your own initiative and you have room to give your own interpretation to the work.
HR Department
Each production location has its own HR department. The HR department in Waalwijk consists of an HR manager, two HR advisers and an HR Specialist for projects. Furthermore, you will also work with the Global HR team. You will report to the HR manager of the Netherlands.

Your profile
For this role, we are looking for someone who does what she/he says. You are honest and clear in the way you communicate. You stand firm and dare to express your opinion. In addition, recruitment and selection has your interest. You can work well independently and do this accurately. It's nice if you have your own vision on HR and share it with the team and the organisation. You are expected to think along with the organisation and to know how to manage contacts with internal stakeholders. And in addition:
• You have a completed college education in the direction of HRM or equivalent
• You have at least 5 years of work experience in a similar position.
• You have experience and affinity with recruitment and selection.
• You are familiar with laws and regulations in the field of HR.
• You have a good command of Dutch and English.
The offer
• Salary from €4,000,- - to €4,900 based on 40 hours per week, holiday pay (8%), 13th month and a very good pension scheme.
• This is a full-time (36-40) position in Waalwijk.
• Possibility to work from home (1-2 days a week).
• You start with a one-year contract and, if satisfied, an extension to an indefinite period.
• You have 27 holiday days and the option to buy 8 additional holiday days.
• You have €750 personal sustainable employability budget in 2024.
