As the Site Procurement Manager in Geleen, where you will play a pivotal role in the local procurement activities, aligning them with the strategic directions of our EMEA Procurement team. This position provides a platform to significantly contribute to our efficiency and sustainability, reflecting the innovative spirit and excellence that ARLANXEO embodies.
The position is based in our offices in Geleen.
Your key responsibilities:
• Lead local procurement initiatives, ensuring they align with stakeholder requirements.
• Manage supplier performance and initiate improvement activities.
• Develop and implement local procurement strategies to secure the necessary goods and services supporting site operations, focusing on maintenance, repair, operations supplies, and local service needs.
• Build and manage relationships with local suppliers, upholding ARLANXEO's high standards.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand specific procurement needs at the site, facilitating effective demand forecasting and inventory management.
• Maintain best practices in procurement processes.
• Monitor local and global market trends to identify risks and opportunities, ensuring alignment with industry dynamics and ARLANXEO's global standing.
Who you are:
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related fields.
• Proven 7+ years of experience in procurement, particularly within manufacturing or chemical sectors, emphasizing a strong operational focus and proactive engagement.
• Competency in managing local procurement operations effectively, showcasing a hands-on mentality and problem-solving agility.
• Strong skills in relationship management and negotiation, proficient in establishing and sustaining effective supplier partnerships.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and an operational mindset, adept at quickly addressing and resolving issues.
• Proficiency in SAP and COUPA.
• Strong communications skills in Dutch and English are required
