We, within our challenging procurement department are looking for a driven and enthusiastic Category Buyer Civil Works for the DEME Group.
You will develop and implement sourcing strategies for harbor construction, dams and sea defenses, canal construction, revetment, quay wall construction and shore protection. If you are up for a new challenge where you can help our department grow, do not hesitate, and apply!

• You'll take the lead in tender management, selecting suppliers as well as concluding, maintaining, and managing contracts, expenses and agreements.
• You'll develop and manage a network of reliable and stable suppliers.
• You'll also build strong internal partnerships with our operational departments and budget owners.
• You know your way around contract lifecycle management: ensuring that contracts are executed correctly, monitoring performance and compliance and taking action when necessary.
• You hold a master's degree in (civil) engineering, and/or applied economics business engineer, or equal by experience.
• You're a real talent in negotiating and steer each discussion towards the desired results.
• Interest and affinity for technical subjects, willing to learn.
• Minimum of 3 - 5 years relevant work experience.
• You're fluent in English, Dutch is an asset.
• You will work in the DEME HQ in Zwijndrecht, Belgium, and are prepared to travel when needed.

You will be responsible for the procurement services of newbuilds and conversion works of high-technology vessels for offshore installation and dredging vessels.

As a Project Controls Engineer, you will provide support for a project from contract award up to close. You are the one that plans the work and keeps an overview of the overall progress. Implementing tools and processes challenge you and you make sure that this implementation goes smoothly.
Project Management Systems do not have any secrets for you. You understand core project controls knowledge areas (scheduling, risk management, cost control, project information management). Thinking out of the box and using innovative ways to improve the business processes are key elements in this job.
