Start your career as an External Communications intern at Vopak. At ports around the world, Vopak provides storage and infrastructure solutions for vital products that enrich everyday life. At Vopak, we believe everyone can contribute to shaping the future of the industry in their own, unique way.
We are looking for a student who embraces our culture of performance-driven, team work, and inclusion to join our communications team as an intern. We will provide you with the opportunity and support to grow in your interest area(s), while you take charge of real responsibilities.
What will you do as an External Communications Intern?
As an External Communications (Thesis) Intern, you will be responsible for supporting the development and implementation of our external communications strategy, including (employer) branding,, content creation, social media management,and evaluating AI tools for content creation.
Within this framework, you are free to draw your own internship plan.
What do we offer you?
• Gain professional experience and networking opportunities at our HQ with a great view of the Maas and Het Park;
• Work on projects that have direct impact from the start;
• Receive an internship allowance of 500 euros per month for HBO student, and 600 euros per month for WO student based on a 40-hour work week;
• The possibility to extend your contract and work full-time at Vopak;
• Flexibility in working from the office and from home.
What do we expect from you as an External Communications intern?
• You are currently enrolled in a Master's degree program in Communications, Public Relations, or a related field, and at the end phase of your studies;
• You are available part- or full-time for at least 4 months;
• You have strong verbal and written English communications skills;
• You have affinity with websites, analytics, and social media. An eye for designs is a plus;
• You are passionate about learning from new tools including AI tools for content creation;
• You are a people person who likes being involved with multiple projects with various stakeholders;
• Good academic records.
Your team is responsible for the building and protection of the Vopak brand.
