The role
The assistant legal counsel will assist the legal counsel to manage various legal topics. The main focus is on contract management; we work with many parties like suppliers as pharmaceutical and logistical companies and IT suppliers, customers as Global Donors, Low and Middle Income Countries and various clients who procure medicines via us.
Last but not least, we work in strategic partnership with governments, NGOs, private sector organizations and others. Strong affinity with the purpose and mission of i+ solutions is desired.
Responsibilities
• Maintain up to date contracts management processes for all contracts within the organisation
• Build and maintain repository of contracts, licenses, statements and other legal documentation
• Draft, review and negotiate simple contracts with suppliers, clients, logistics service providers
• Translate and effectively communicate legal requirements to relevant stakeholders
• Conduct trainings for relevant stakeholders in various contracts-related matters
• Ensure compliance with legal department policies, procedures and standards
• Assist legal counsel in reviewing and negotiating other contracts
• Assist in legal department projects such a data protection, compliance, governance and legal research
Qualifications
• Bachelors degree in law.
• Qualified lawyer with a minimum of two (2) years of relevant legal experience, preferably as corporate lawyer for a large organization.
• Experience and understanding of supply chain & logistics in healthcare industry
• Comprehensive knowledge on legal matters including but not limited to contracts management and international commercial law

• Strong planning and prioritizing skills
• Open to improvement processes, projects and software
• Keen interest in legal research
