Job Description
Work as part of the Corporate Business Planning Team responsible for supporting the Investment Management process on a global basis, including Investment Analysis, Capital Allocation, Authorization and Tracking. Key responsibilities are the support of the Growth Pipeline process and the development of the CO2 investment roadmap.
Main Responsibilities
Analyze the main variables of investment proposals requested by regions including alignment with CEMEX Strategy, profitability, and general technical aspects.
Responsible for assessing and presenting to the Investment Committee EBITDA Growth investment opportunities submitted by regions in the Growth Pipeline process.
Support the development and execution of the CO2 Investment roadmap on a global basis that will enable CEMEX to reach its targets.
Support the investment tracking and Postmortem process to identify accomplishments, deviations and learnings in CAPEX execution including their EBITDA contribution with respect to plan.
Support the annual Business Plan investment process: prepare templates, consolidate global investment requirements, provide guidelines and analysis needed to enable portfolio investment allocation.
Support the development and presentation of an optimal capital allocation proposal -Platform and Strategic- to top management. Platform includes the allocation of Maintenance investments, Mobile Equipment, Leases (IFRS 16 assets) and Hotspots.
Strategic includes de allocation of Growth Pipeline investments, CO2 roadmap investments and Mineral Replenishment.
Provide support to in their day-to-day Platform & Strategic investment requirements as internal consultants, including review of business cases, provide external professional opinion regarding methodology and assumptions of projects being developed, request deeper analysis, and manage authorization process.
Understand the CAPEX execution forecast and its impact in company results.
Participate in the update of the global Investment Guidelines and support the design and implementation of the new investment tool.
Support in the construction of presentations and analysis for different audiences. Prepare information for top management meetings and events.
