Marketing Analyst & Pricing Specialist

JOB PURPOSE

Gathering and analyzing information in order to support the marketing mix of Enerpac EMEA organization. The marketing analyst and pricing specialist provides information related to price strategy, performance tracking of existing- and new products and supports various commercial activities like promotions and sales channel development.
Also, he/she provides business plan support by gathering macro-economic data trends and investigating growth opportunities in new markets and geographies. The general purpose of this function is to improve the positioning of Enerpac products, services and organization in order to strengthen Enerpac’s market position.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
 •  Executes market research projects that answer specific business questions related to products, sales data, economic trends etc.
 •  Formulates and completes reports on time and makes conclusive recommendations based on the research findings.
 •  Develops and maintains OBIEE (Oracle Business Intelligence) reports.
 •  Conducts desk research to geographical markets, target markets, macro-economic data, competitors and market size.
 •  In cooperation with the sales teams, gathering and processing of end user data from our channel partners.
 •  Supports commercial team with competitive end user conversion activities by providing lead lists and tracking conversion results.
 •  Maintains and keeps current comprehensive competitive information through the analysis of competitive literature and secondary information sources.
 •  Contributes to the acquisition strategy by completing desk research on the funnel of potential acquisition targets.
 •  Completes the yearly price update process for all brands and lines of businesses.
 •  Create and maintain global competitive pricing database for multiple brands/LOB’s
 •  Responsible for multi brand/LOB pricelist upload in Oracle. Periodic monitoring of appropriate price list maintenance.
 •  Supports pricing integration projects on Oracle due to acquisitions.
 •  Continues improvement of pricelist accuracy and harmonized discount set up across sales organizations.
 •  Responsible for Oracle (discount) modifier set up and maintenance in line with commercial terms and business model.
 •  Support pricing of new products.
 •  Supports the second brand initiative on similar topics as per above.

KEY CAPABILITIES
 •  Advanced knowledge of applying both quantitative and qualitative methods.
 •  Affinity with large data sets, database structures and reporting in general is required.
 •  Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications (especially Excel), is required.
 •  Experience with Oracle, OBIEE and SQL is an advantage
 •  Experience in Finance or other analytical job functions is an advantage.
 •  Ability to translate information into relevant conclusions and actionable recommendations.
 •  Able to translate business needs into added value reports and insights.
 •  Strong organizational skills and large attention to detail is required as work will influence quality of decision making.
 •  Strong oral and written communication skills required to communicate findings to various disciplines of the organization.
 •  Able to communicate in English, both verbally as in writing.
 •  Must be self-motivated; work well individually or as a team member.
 •  Self-starter; able to work well without constant direction and eager to self-develop reporting skills and analytical methodologies.
 •  Occasional travel is required.
