Overview
As a Quality Officer you will help make the factory in Franeker run better every day. You will ensure we follow the right procedures and keep our products safe and of constant quality, from raw material to the final packaging. You will be visible in the factory, know the people, and understand what’s happening.You will work with operators, team leaders and the quality team to improve work methods, follow up deviations, and share insights that drive continuous improvement in a safe, sustainable, and reliable production environment.
Responsibilities- Oversight of compliance with procedures and work instructions so that operations meet the requirements of the quality system.
- Preparation and execution of internal audits, reporting findings and monitoring improvement actions.
- Analysis and follow‑up of deviations, complaints, and incidents to prevent recurrence.
- Maintenance and updating of documentation and reporting within management systems.
- Preparation and facilitation of external audits by customers, certifying bodies and regulators.
- Contributing to continuous improvement by enhancing quality awareness and engaging colleagues in solutions.
Location
Huhtamaki Nederland B.V., Franeker. The company has over 250 employees and is a global specialist in converting old paper into functional, environmentally friendly products such as egg cartons, egg trays and cup carriers.
Qualifications & Requirements
We look for someone detail‑oriented, accurate, and who understands the importance of quality in a production environment. You can easily communicate with colleagues and take joint responsibility for the result.- Completed secondary education (MBO) in engineering, process industry or quality management.
- Several years of experience in a production or process environment.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- A structured and careful approach to work.
- Independent, but able to collaborate well on the shop floor.
- Eager to learn and develop within the quality field.
- Direct employment as a Quality Officer with a hiring process that values good talent.
- Salary ranging from €43,500 to €58,000 per year based on role weight and experience, paid on a 40‑hour week, including an 8% holiday allowance and a 13th salary.
- A flat‑rate bonus scheme of 2.5% of the annual salary (dependent on individual and company performance).
