User Research (UXR) Internship

Your internship
You will work closely with and report to Dimas. Dimas is SkillLab’s Senior User Researcher.
You'll dive into a fast-paced product environment, gaining hands-on experience in how user-centered research shapes product development. You'll contribute directly to our product and research teams by:
- Supporting research projects: From setting goals and choosing methods to recruiting participants and analyzing findings, you'll support us managing user research studies.
- Collaborating on product development: You'll work closely with Product Managers and Designers, conducting practical research like usability or concept testing, and turning insights into actionable product and design decisions.
- Building our knowledge base: You'll help organize and summarize key findings in our research repository, making our insights more accessible.
- Sharing your discoveries: You'll create clear, compelling presentations of your research findings for both technical and non-technical audiences, including a final presentation to our product and UX teams.
- Honing your research skills: You'll strengthen your expertise in both qualitative and quantitative research methods, learning to design effective research instruments.
- You have a study background in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Computer Science, Social Science (i.e Sociology or Anthropology), Information Technology, or a related field
- You are familiar with foundational user research methodologies (e.g., usability testing, interviews, surveys).
- You have a demonstrated interest in user-centered design, product development, and the application of research to solve real-world problems.
- You’ve worked on university projects involving market research / analysis, user experience research or web/mobile application design.
- You have have prior internship experience working in an agile product development environment.
- You have experience with quantitative research methods.
- You have experience with survey design and analysis.
- You are eligible to work in the Netherlands. We don’t support visa applications for applicants outside the EU.
- You are currently enrolled as a student or graduated within the last 12 months.
- You are able to commit to a six-month full-time (40 hour/week) internship.
- This is a paid internship. The monthly reimbursement will be 1.000 EUR.
- You can do the internship by living in another city in the Netherlands and commuting to the office 1-2 days per week. SkillLab covers your train commuting expenses to Amsterdam.
- We accept applications on rolling basis and we envision a start date in September 2025.

- You will join our bi-annual company offsite retreats in different locations like Belgium, the Netherlands etc.

- We will invite you for a 60min interview if we find that you are a good fit. The interview will involve you preparing a short assignment.
- We will offer you the internship and discuss logistics, if we think that you are the ideal candidate for the role.
