Finance Manager (Leasing)

Functie

• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting for leasing operations
• Manage P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow with a strong focus on lease portfolio performance
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards (e.g., IFRS 16 or similar leasing frameworks)
• Deliver variance analysis and provide actionable insights to senior leadership

• Monitor and analyze vehicle lease portfolios, including residual values, depreciation, and utilization rates
• Evaluate profitability across lease contracts, customer segments, and vehicle categories
• Support pricing strategies for lease products based on cost of funds, risk, and residual value forecasts

• Act as a strategic finance partner to commercial, operations, and fleet management teams
• Provide financial input on new leasing contracts, tenders, and partnerships
• Support decision-making with scenario modeling and financial forecasting

• Lead budgeting and rolling forecast processes specific to leasing operations
• Develop financial models incorporating fleet growth, asset turnover, and funding structures
• Monitor key KPIs such as lease margins, cost per vehicle, and return on assets

• Assess financial risks related to residual values, credit exposure, and asset lifecycle
• Collaborate with risk and credit teams to ensure sustainable portfolio growth
• Support asset disposal strategies and remarketing performance tracking

• Work closely with treasury on funding structures for leasing portfolios (debt facilities, securitization, etc.)
• Monitor cost of capital and its impact on lease pricing and margins
• Ensure efficient capital allocation across fleet investments

• Strengthen internal controls and financial governance within leasing operations
• Identify opportunities for automation and efficiency in financial processes
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal audit requirements

Profiel

• 5-8+ years of experience in finance roles, ideally within:
• Automotive leasing / fleet management
• Asset-based financing / leasing companies
• Financial services with leasing exposure
• Proven experience managing operational leasing portfolios

• Strong knowledge of leasing accounting (e.g., IFRS 16)
• Experience with financial modeling, forecasting, and portfolio analysis
• Familiarity with residual value management and asset depreciation
• Advanced Excel skills; experience with ERP/financial systems

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Commercial mindset with ability to translate data into business insights
• Stakeholder management and business partnering skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, data-driven environment

• Background in automotive or mobility sector
• Experience with EV (electric vehicle) fleet economics is a plus
• Knowledge of fleet lifecycle management (procurement → leasing → remarketing)
• Professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CFA) preferred
