Verantwoordelijkheden

As Manager Ontwerp Utiliteit for the regio Amsterdam you are responsible for the design team on our Amsterdam location. You lead a team of engineers, drafters, BIM modelers, project engineers, lead engineers and consultants – experts in building-bound installation technology and electrical engineering.

• You're involved in developing the team and on an individual basis for people, processes, and technology;
• You work closely with the realization manager to monitor opportunities/risk, collaboration, and progress within projects;
• You work closely with the tender bureau manager to discuss your technical vision on the tender department;
• You give direction to a team of engineers, BIM modelers, and consultants, stimulate collaboration and knowledge sharing and ensure a safe, healthy work environment;
• You are an active partner in discussion structures and contribute to the continuity and growth of Croonwolter&dros;
• You lead the design team and ensure that processes run smoothly, completely and on schedule;
• You keep an overview during peaks and troughs, maintain calm and intervene when necessary;
• You stimulate innovation and challenge your team to continue improving;
• You raise the level of designs by focusing on quality, safety, sustainability and installability;
• You are part of the management team and strategically contribute on matters beyond design such as market, approach and capacity planning.

In Amsterdam you work closely with managers of realization, commerce and tender. Together you determine which projects we acquire and how we best prepare them.

You advise clients, colleague managers and management on design feasibility, monitor budgets and ask critical questions to arrive at the best technical solutions. You know exactly which engineer, BIM’er, consultant or project manager fits best and create the ideal project teams.

You are a genuine connector who brings departments, disciplines and people together effortlessly. You work in a structured manner, communicate clearly and always stand for quality and safety. You set a good example, stimulate growth and steer innovation and stability.

• A bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Installation Engineering or Technical Business Management.
• At least 3 years of leadership experience within utility.
• Strong experience in design, engineering processes and financial monitoring.
• A coaching and connecting leadership style.
• A keen eye for quality, installability, structure and process optimization.
