Senior Laboratory Technician

At the Sun Chemical Color Materials site in Maastricht, we produce pigment preparations for plastics and raw materials for 3D printing, with a team of about 90 people. To expand our Quality Services team, we are looking for a Senior Laboratory Technician

• Providing analytical testing and reporting support to various internal and external customers, ensuring the accuracy, timeline, and clarity of the reported results.
• Ensuring all tasks and activities are carried out in accordance with the venue's EHS regulations/guidelines and EHS culture.
• Ensuring the conversion of safety data sheets into work instruction cards
• Developing new test methods
• Demonstrating a broad understanding of the working procedures in use and coming up with suggestions for improving these procedures.
• Completing all tests in accordance with defined procedures.
• Ensuring that the tests are completed according to the agreed timetables.

• Education: MBO and Level BOL-4, with a focus on chemistry and laboratory technology, or HBO Applied Science with focus on chemistry and materials science
• At least 1 year of work experience in a physical or analytical industrial work environment
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with experience in complaint management
• Good verbal and written communication skills in both Dutch and English
• Good understanding of German would also be beneficial to the role
• In addition, you are flexible and can set priorities well.
