Business Contribution:
- The Team leader engineering is an enthusiast, hands-on leader with demonstrated experience in leading engineering
& design teams. The teamleader engineering is responsible for day to day coordination of design activities and
responsibilities in the engineering team. He / She is the first point of contact for all stakeholders (both internal andexternal).
Key Responsibilities:
- Daily leadership of the engineering team, ensuring effective daily operations and team performance.
- Manage multidisciplinary engineering team and develop individuals within team.
- Motivate, coach and develop team members. Perform performance reviews / conversations.
- Create and maintain skill matrix for team members.
- Compliance of structural / mechanical engineering works to applicable codes and standards.
- Manage and monitor engineering schedule and assure progress is maintained.
- Arrange hardware / software applications required for engineering department.
- Lead technical discussions and guide the team to take decisions.
- Determine required engineering deliverables (according applicable code / standard and contract specific). This includes Risk Assessments, manuals, calculation reports.
- Assure applicable engineering deliverables are completed on time and quality is checked (4 – eye principle).
- Represent engineering department in front of customers / suppliers (both internal and external).
- Professional communication with internal and external customers
- Systematic archiving of project documentation and drawings
- Represent / promote Enerpac in a professional and positive manner by attending (school) tradeshows, give presentations, guide trainees / interns etc.
- The Team leader Engineering will be working together closely with other parts of the business to determine project
- scope and product requirements for (NPD) projects, custom products and sustaining activities.
- Ensure requests are responded to appropriately within set timings goals. Continuously improve communication
- quality.
- Close cooperation with other stakeholders and departments like (after)sales, work preparation, planning,
- procurement and quality.
- Support budget calculations with estimation of how much engineering time is required in a certain project.
- Maintain and improve dashboards that provide real-time insights into status of engineering processes.
- Proactively advise internal and external customers / stakeholders, build and maintaining relationships (both internal and external).
- Occasionally visit customers and other Enerpac entities.
Required Capabilities:
- At least 5 years of progressive experience in a Sr. engineering or teamlead role, with a significant focus on product design.
- Strong technical skills to attend and lead technical discussions. Self-confidence to take decisions and responsibility.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Netherland (German is a pre).
- Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire teams, with strong people management skills.
- Good degree of commercial / cost control awareness
- Experience of working with 3D CAD software, FEM software, Risk assessment tools and MS Office.
