Our client is a medium-sized organisation operating in the Pharmaceuticals industry in Leiden. The organization develops and commercializes a portfolio of innovative medicines, including biologics and small molecules. Headquartered in the Netherlands, it operates internationally with a significant presence in major markets.
Functie
In this role as Facility Coordinator a.i. you will:
- Develop and implement strategies for optimal use of facilities.
- Prepare and execute multi-year maintenance plans to keep facilities and equipment in excellent condition.
- Identify operational challenges and propose sustainable solutions to improve processes and reduce costs.
- Coordinate facility projects such as renovations, relocations, and infrastructure improvements.
- Manage supplier relationships, request quotes, and monitor contract execution for services like cleaning, security, and technical installations.
- Collaborate with facility teams across locations to align global strategies and identify synergies.
- Act as the primary contact for property managers and employees regarding repairs, maintenance, and office-related requests.
- Serve as the central point of contact for HSE activities, including risk assessments and incident reporting.
- Maintain safety and sustainability standards, and update internal resources accordingly.
- Coordinate emergency response teams, including training schedules and rosters.
- Oversee office supply management, courier shipments, mail handling, and travel accounts.
- Ensure smooth day-to-day operations for employees and visitors.
This is an operational role, requiring hands-on involvement in day-to-day facility tasks.
Profiel
For this role as Facility Coordinator a.i.- Degree in Facility Management or related field (MBO4/HBO level)
- Fluent in English
- Knowledge of sustainability practices
- Technical understanding and project management skills
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in facility and supplier management
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Initiative and problem-solving ability
- Excellent planning and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently while maintaining oversight
- Team-oriented and results-driven
- Start date: ASAP
- Assignment for 2 months
- Full time (40h per week)
