Interoperability & Integration Engineer (.NET)

At Uni Systems, we are working towards turning digital visions into reality. We are continuously growing, and we are looking for an Interoperability & Integration Engineer to join our UniQue team.

What will you be bringing to the team?

You will support the demonstration and development of the institution’s future Data Lake and Information Services ecosystem, which includes components such as the Data Lake Node, Integration Core (INT-CORE), and Lake Diver. Key responsibilities will include:

• Supporting and guiding the development team to ensure the capabilities being developed are aligned with the institution’s needs.
• Assisting in stakeholder management to capture and refine requirements, define architecture, and shape the vision for the Data Lake, Lake Diver, and INT-CORE.
• Engaging with user communities to gather operational requirements.
• Participating in annual technical exercises or evaluations (typically held in June, potentially in Poland or other locations) as a technical lead, including:
• Collaborating with international partners to define test scenarios and architectures.
• Supporting the execution of these exercises as a subject matter expert.
• Visiting operational entities across the institution to conduct interviews, understand user needs, and translate those into technical solutions.
• Producing detailed component specifications and translating them into technical designs ready for implementation.
• Providing comprehensive technical guidance on the development and enhancement of solution components to ensure compatibility with relevant architectures, policies, standards, and practices. This includes:
• Participating in development activities when required, including writing software code.
• Ensuring adherence to applicable industrial and international standards.
• Offering expert advice on system development, integration, and supporting change management processes.
• Assisting in the preparation of technical project plans and helping to ensure that the necessary technical resources are allocated effectively.

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in C#, with a minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience.
• Solid working knowledge of .NET Core and .NET 8 or later.
• Proven experience (minimum 4 years) with JavaScript, Angular, and HTML5.
• Deep understanding of system design architecture and system-to-system integration in complex, high-efficiency information exchange environments.
• At least 3 years of experience in system integration, data modeling, and data transformation processes.
• Comfortable presenting technical solutions and concepts to working groups or committees.
• A minimum of 24 months of experience (within the last 40 months) with tools and technologies such as:
• Data processing frameworks: Databricks, Apache Kafka, Apache Spark, RabbitMQ, or similar.
• Software/System Architecture using modern industry standards like UML.
• Familiarity with modern software development methodologies, including Agile and software development life cycles. Certifications in Agile/SCRUM are considered a plus.
• Experience working with JSON, XML, and XSD.
• Willingness and ability to quickly learn XQUERY, XPATH, and/or XSLT.
• Experience with XSLT is highly desirable, though not mandatory.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is essential.
• An active security clearance of NATO Secret level at the time of application is mandatory for this position.
