Are you a driven Business Developer with a passion for risk management and innovation? ABN AMRO is seeking a Business Developer for our Non-Financial Risk Grid team, which plays a crucial role in the bank's Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) and the 3 Lines of Defence (3LoD) strategy.
Your job
General responsibilities:
- Towards stakeholders: You are driven to keep on exceeding the expectations of internal and external stakeholders. You are able to view the bank’s processes through the eyes of those stakeholders, and draw on this perspective when working on improvements to the products, processes, and systems for which you are responsible. You are interested in our stakeholders’ world. You keep a close eye on developments in your discipline. You use your knowledge, experience, and creativity to think up and propose improvements with your team. You provide advice to important stakeholders and win their support for your insights and proposals. You also aim to make the processes more effective, efficient, and cost-effective. When implementing your proposals, you are able to demonstrate an ability to get things done.
- Within the Grid: The Business Developer is a broad role that incorporates elements of product, process and consultancy. As a Block member, the Business Developer collaborates with the team to achieve the goals of the Grid and is responsible for ensuring the ultimate customer experience for the client by developing propositions and the product/ service. The Business Developer is involved with one or more deliverables and has knowledge and/or experience of market developments, products, processes, systems, relevant legislation, etc., within the Non Financial Grid. This involves both Change and Run activities. The Business Developer determines how to operate within his field of expertise, shares specific knowledge, focus areas, and sets standards.

About the Non-Financial Risk Grid:
Our NFR Grid consists of approximately 20 business and 45 IT employees, delivering more than 45 future-ready solutions. These solutions enable the 2nd Line Risk Type Owners (RTOs), such as Security Intelligence Management (SIM), IT & Operational Management (I&ORM), and Compliance, to fulfill their roles and ensure non-financial risks remain within the boundaries of ABN AMRO's Risk Appetite Statement (RAS).
Non-Financial Risk Grid mission:
- Innovate and Implement: Design cutting-edge solutions in line with our risk taxonomy, addressing a variety of risks:
- Change Risk: Create tools for assessments and self-evaluations.
- Compliance - Market Integrity Risk: Develop solutions to enhance detection and surveillance.
- Organizational & Employee Integrity Risk: Implement systems for managing conflicts of interest.
- Data Protection/Privacy Risk: Ensure GDPR-compliant privacy management solutions.
- Fraud Risk: Craft strategies to minimize financial loss and safeguard reputation.
- ICT Risk: Develop business continuity solutions to ensure system availability.
- Other Risks: Address behavioral risks and support whistleblowing initiatives.
- Bachelor or master degree
- Knowledge of the organisation, services, products, processes, systems, and tooling
- Familiar with / eagerness to obtain knowledge of legislation and regulations
- Advisory skills (able to advice both in interest of the Stakeholder and the Non Finacial Grid)
- Stakeholder Management (become a true Trusted Advisor for the Stakeholder)

- Competitive gross monthly salary (between €4.606 and €6.580 based on experience and the potential you bring) on a 36-hour work week, including vacation pay and benefit budget.
- The benefit budget is 11% of your salary. The benefit budget allows you to acquire additional employment benefits. If you make no purchases or reservations in the Benefit Shop in a given month, you are paid one twelfth of your Benefit Budget that month.
- Five weeks of paid vacation per year, plus the day after Ascension day and Liberation day (5th of May). You have the option to purchase an additional four weeks per year.
- Personal development budget of EUR 1,000 per year, which you can accumulate up to EUR 3,000.
