Functie
Main responsibilities as Interim Category Procurement Manager:
Logistics Procurement- Manage procurement for all inbound transport and outbound logistics (from production sites to DCs and customers)
- Oversee and support tender processes for both road and sea freight
- Contribute to the restructuring of sea freight, including a plan to split the business between two carriers starting next year
- Upload and maintain transport tariffs and rate structures in procurement systems
- Collaborate on cold chain logistics topics, particularly frozen product transport - experience in this area is a plus
- Identify cost-saving opportunities, improve service levels, and support contract negotiations
- Manage procurement of site services including: Cleaning, Catering, Clothing
- Monitor service provider performance and ensure compliance with existing contracts
- Support development of a business case for a centralized warehouse near the factory sites
- Work closely with internal logistics, operations, and finance teams to align procurement activities with business goals
- Offer procurement insights into broader supply chain improvements
- Ensure correct and timely upload of logistics tariffs and conditions into relevant systems
- Maintain supplier data and procurement records in line with internal controls
- Support tactical activities to improve operational flow
Profiel
For this role as Interim Category Procurement Manager:
- Minimum 5-7 years in procurement, with a strong focus on facilities and logistics categories (road, sea, inbound/outbound)
- Experience in or exposure to cold chain / frozen transport is highly desirable
- Background in FMCG, manufacturing, or other fast-paced, supply chain-driven sectors is preferred
- Previous involvement in tendering and supplier negotiation processes
- Able to work independently and manage categories with minimal supervision
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills
- Analytical and structured thinker with a pragmatic, hands-on mindset
- Comfortable with systems (preferably SAP), data input, and procurement documentation
- Effective communicator - capable of communicating with internal stakeholders and supplier partners
- Start date: August 2025
- Full time assignment (4oh per week)
- Contract for 6 months
- Hibryd working (3 days on site, 2 days working from home)
