The Role
The IT System Administrator provides advanced technical support for users, manages core IT infrastructure systems, and acts as an escalation point for L1 support. This role ensures the stability, security, and optimal performance of on-premises and cloud-based systems.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain, administer, and support Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O), including user account management, troubleshooting, Microsoft SQL Server maintenance (basic), and regular system maintenance tasks.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize Windows servers (physical and virtual), storage, and backup systems.
- Administer user accounts, permissions, and group policies (Active Directory, Entra ID/Azure AD).
- Patch and update systems according to security standards and company policies.
- Assist with onboarding and offboarding (accounts, devices, access).
- Support cloud services (e.g., Microsoft 365, Azure, AWS), including mailbox management, license allocation, and administration of SharePoint Online and MS Teams.
- Participate in routine maintenance, disaster recovery tests, and documentation of IT processes.
- Collaborate with L1, L3, and other IT teams for issue resolution and project implementations.
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2–4 years in a technical support or system administration role (L1/L2-level)
- Familiarity with Windows Server and Azure administration
- Hands-on experience supporting Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O) as a system administrator, with some knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server administration
- Nice-to-have: Familiarity with Linux server administration and Proxmox
- Experience with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), identity and access management solutions, and Microsoft Intune (Endpoint Manager)
- Experience with virtualization platforms (e.g., Proxmox, Hyper-V)
- Familiarity with scripting (PowerShell, Bash)
- Experience with backup solutions and endpoint security
- Experience with device management solutions
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Clear and professional communication (spoken and written)
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
- Customer-oriented mindset
- Certifications (e.g., MCSA/MCSE, Azure Administrator (AZ-104), Azure Solutions Architect (AZ-305)) is a plus
- Experience with ITSM/ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira) is a plus
- Exposure to cloud migrations or hybrid environments is a plus
