Our client is a growing pharmacy organization operating multiple locations across the Netherlands. The business unit in Amsterdam is part of a larger group structure and operates in a regulated healthcare and retail environment. Financial accuracy, audit readiness and strong operational control are critical due to the volume of transactions, payroll complexity and intercompany structures.The organization is strengthening its finance team with an experienced, hands-on Senior Financial Controller.
Functie- Independently perform the monthly close for the Pharmacy Business Unit
- Post accruals, provisions and manual journal entries
- Prepare and reconcile balance sheet accounts and supporting schedules
- Work closely with the GL Accountant on general ledger positions and corrections
- Process and allocate payroll costs across pharmacies and cost centers
- Reconcile payroll charges in detail with HR and Payroll and process corrections
- Manage and reconcile intercompany balances between the Pharmacy BU and other entities
- Build clear, well-documented and audit-proof files (reconciliations, memos, explanations)
- Act as the technical point of reference for colleagues within finance
- Raise the overall quality standard by leading through example
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Economics or similar
- 5-8+ years of experience in a hands-on controlling or accounting role
- Proven experience with month-end close, intercompany reconciliations and audit files
- Strong technical accounting knowledge (Dutch GAAP); IFRS is a plus
- Advanced Excel skills; experience with Exact and/or Twinfield is a strong advantage
- Experience in healthcare, pharmacy, retail or multi-site environments is a plus
- Fluent in Dutch
