As an allocator, you ensure Nike wins with the consumer: your decisions guarantee the right merchandise assortment is available at the right time, in the right stores, in the right volume. Joining Nike's strong retail team at the European head office (EHQ) in Hilversum, you will look after Nike's most premium retail doors across the European market.

In this role, you will serve the Nike Stores business as part of the Nike Direct Marketplace Unit (MPU), specializing in in-season trade and inventory optimization.

who are you ...

You will bring:

  • Experience: At least 1 year of experience in functions like DSM (Allocation / Location Planning / Assortment Planning), MPO, Sales, Finance, or as a Buying Coordinator.
  • Analytical skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; the ability to leverage data to develop plans and drive better decisions.
  • Tech-savviness: Excellent knowledge of Excel (formulas, setting up spreadsheets) and MS Windows applications. Quick learner for new systems, with knowledge of the Just Enough allocation system being a plus.
  • Commercial mindset: A commercial and entrepreneurial mindset, with the ability to negotiate and trade pre- and in-season.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to engage effectively with a broad range of audiences, including business leaders.
  • Drive: A self-starter mentality, eager to drive and own end-to-end communication, with proficient information-seeking skills in a fast-paced environment. A positive team player who helps train and develop peers.

what will you do

You will work closely in dedicated squads with the Assortment Planning and Merchandising teams for Nike Direct Stores. Additionally, you will collaborate with Marketplace Operations (MPO), Brand, strategic partners within EHQ, and store teams. In this role, you are the driving force behind optimizing store inventory. Your key responsibilities include:

  • Trend & assortment management: Capture market and store trends and work closely with Merchandising and Assortment Planning teams to drive a compelling assortment to Nike's retail doors to maximize sales.
  • Inventory analysis: Analyze sales and inventory information to forecast future sales and optimize the replenishment process.
  • Cross-functional collaboration: Collaborate with key stakeholders on pre-season and in-season risks and opportunities.
  • Capacity & campaign planning: Allocate within the constraints of maximum target capacities, ensuring smooth transitions between campaigns, flows, and seasons.
  • Reporting: Create ad-hoc reporting to drive allocation decisions and educate stakeholders on current stock positions, risks, and opportunities.
  • Launch support: Understand launch and marketing initiatives; proactively acquire necessary information to ensure product coverage for campaigns.
  • Stock optimization: Minimize end-of-season stock by ramping down replenishment on slow-moving items to increase store sell-through and minimize returns.

You will be based at Nike's inspiring European Headquarters (EHQ) in Hilversum, a dynamic campus that reflects the values of the brand. Nike offers a hybrid working model (3 days in the office, 2 days from home).
