Lead .Net Developer

Tasks
What will you do?
As a Lead .Net Developer, you will take technical ownership of the entire software development life cycle – from gathering requirements to designing, developing, implementing, and continuously improving scalable applications. You apply best practices in software architecture and ensure robust, maintainable, and future-proof solutions.
You’ll get the opportunity to work on mission-critical systems within modern cloud-native environments, together with multidisciplinary Agile teams. In these projects, scalability, performance, and reliability are essential. You will be designing and setting up microservices (if this is the best solution for the problem at hand), building APIs, and designing CI/CD pipelines.
At Valcon, you’ll have the freedom to bring your technical vision to life while acting as a trusted technical advisor to the client. You’ll also play a key role in mentoring colleagues, sharing knowledge, continuously improving the development process and helping to shape our software engineering capability.
Requirements
Experience:
- A completed technical bachelor’s or master’s degree
- At least 7 years of professional experience as a software developer
- Experience with – and enjoyment in – mentoring and coaching other developers
- Deep knowledge of the .Net ecosystem
- Experience with .Net WebAPI / MVC framework
- Experience with Entity Framework or another ORM
- Experience with automated testing (e.g. SpecFlow)
- A mindset that sees technology as a tool to solve real-world problems
- Strong communication skills, a polyglot mindset, and an entrepreneurial attitude
- Experience in consultancy is a significant plus
- Experience with large-scale deployments (high availability, scalability, resilience, API security) is a plus
- Experience with cloud-native environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus
- Fluent in Dutch and/or English
