Senior Project Manager -Transformation

The Senior Project Manager will lead and coordinate key transformation projects, ensuring effective planning, structured execution, and alignment with strategic objectives across the organization. The role ensures that projects progress on time, within scope, and deliver measurable improvements in processes, quality, and performance.

The Senior Project Manager will drive governance routines, provide transparent reporting to senior leadership, manage risks proactively, and guide cross-functional teams in delivering successful outcomes.

Major Activities

Project Coordination:

  • Lead the planning and delivery of transformation projects across functions such as operations, IT, commercial, finance, HR, and quality;
  • Translate strategic objectives into actionable project plans, timelines, and deliverables;
  • Ensure consistent use of project management methodologies, tools, and templates across workstreams;
  • Coordinate interdependencies, track progress, and adjust plans when needed to secure timely delivery.

Performance Management & Reporting:

  • Define and monitor KPIs, success criteria, and project performance metrics;
  • Prepare clear, structured status updates and reports for senior stakeholders and leadership;
  • Identify risks and issues early, escalate when required, and drive mitigation actions with teams;
  • Ensure accurate documentation of decisions, actions, and lessons learned.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, project leads, and subject-matter experts;
  • Engage with mid-level and senior stakeholders to secure alignment and ownership of project outcomes;
  • Facilitate project meetings, workshops, and decision-making sessions with clarity and structure;
  • Build strong relationships to ensure smooth communication and successful change adoption.

Resource & Change Management:

  • Coordinate resources across project teams, including external vendors and internal expertise;
  • Partner with HR and Communications on change management activities, supporting training and communication plans;
  • Contribute to the development of project management capabilities by guiding junior team members and sharing best practices;
  • Support sustainability of change by ensuring proper handover, documentation, and integration into business processes.

Key Performance Indicators

Project Delivery:

  • Delivery of projects according to timeline, quality criteria, and scope;
  • Milestone adherence and effective management of dependencies.

Business Impact:

  • Contribution to achieving project targets, improvements, and efficiency gains;
  • Measurable alignment of project outcomes with transformation objectives.

Project Management Maturity:

  • Quality and accuracy of reporting, documentation, and KPI tracking;
  • Timely risk escalation and effective mitigation;
  • Adherence to PM standards and continuous improvement of ways of working.

Team Performance:

  • Collaboration and engagement with cross-functional teams;
  • Coaching and support provided to junior project managers or analysts.
Requirements
  • University Degree (Master’s required; business, health sciences, or related fields preferred);
  • Fluent English and Dutch (oral and written);
  • 5–7 years of experience in project management, transformation, consulting, or related roles;
  • Proven ability to lead medium-to-large projects with cross-functional impact;
  • Experience working in matrixed environments with diverse stakeholders;
  • Familiarity with transformation in healthcare, diagnostics, or life sciences is preferred;
  • Solid background in project planning, risk management, and structured execution;
  • Strong project management, coordination, and communication abilities;
  • Ability to translate strategy into actionable plans and deliver results;
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and prioritization skills;
  • Proficiency with project management tools and frameworks;
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity, provide clarity, and lead teams toward structured outcomes;
  • High emotional intelligence, stakeholder awareness, and resilience.
