Field Service Engineer

Responsibilities:

About the position

The role is dynamic and varied. With both on-site and remote work, aiming to ensure customer satisfaction and safety standards.

• Perform regular maintenance, troubleshooting and commissioning of gas detection installations to ensure optimum performance.
• Diagnose and quickly resolve technical issues to minimise downtime for customers.

• Carefully complete service reports and record customer site data with attention to detail.

• Provide expert advice and support to the sales team on technical matters.
• Assist customers on site and over the phone in identifying and resolving technical issues.

• Act as a trusted advisor to customers by ensuring their systems are maintained and operate efficiently.
• Build strong relationships with customers to foster trust and long-term collaborations.

• Participate in our 24-hour emergency phone service, approximately once every eight weeks, to address urgent technical issues.

• Identify areas for improvement in service processes and provide solutions to increase efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:

• MS Office expertise: Advanced command of Excel
• Demonstrated ability to think technically and commercially
• Strong self-motivation and focus on tasks
• Fluent command of Dutch (speaking and writing)

• Reliability and initiative
• Analytical and solution-oriented approach
• Proactive attitude to tasks and challenges
• Experience with SAP CRM software
• Knowledge of the petrochemical industry
• Command of English (speaking and writing)
• Certificate Basic Safety (VCA)

• Technical training, preferably in electrical engineering (measurement and control engineering)
• Valid driving license category B

• 13th salary: Paid in December.
• 8% of annual salary as holiday pay.
