Our Field Sales Representatives are customer-focused partners, developing strong relationships with businesses across our assigned territories.
They utilize their industry knowledge and understanding of client needs to create customized logistics solutions that streamline supply chains and fuel client success.
By leveraging effective communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, they secure profitable contracts and consistently surpass sales targets, contributing to DHL Express's growth

and industry leadership according to Global SOP, Compliance & DHL guidelines.

Key Tasks
  • Develop and manage a territory of assigned accounts, building strong relationships with key decision-makers.
  • Conduct customer needs assessments to identify and propose customized logistics solutions that address their specific supply chain challenges.
  • Negotiate and close contracts, ensuring profitability and alignment with company objectives.
  • Drive account growth and profitability within the assigned territory, exceeding sales targets through proactive strategies and effective account management.
  • Monitor customer satisfaction, follow-up and proactively address any concerns, building long-term loyalty.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal teams, including operations, customer service, finance and sales, to deliver exceptional service to all accounts.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations and proposals, highlighting the value proposition of DHL Express solutions for various business needs.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and competitor activities, identifying new sales opportunities within the territory and adapting strategies accordingly.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Ability to operate effectively in a consultant/advisory role and solve conflicts diplomatically.
  • Ability to prioritize, manage, and complete projects with tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, motivational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Computer literacy in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and databases.
  • Strong business/commercial acumen, drive for achievement, and ability to win trust, negotiate, and qualify & close business.
  • Ability to travel (up to 70%).
  • Typically requires BS/BA
  • Minimum 4 years proven experience in a sales role in DHL Express.
  • Hands-on knowledge of DHL’s Customer Relationship Mgmt. & Business Intelligence systems, applications & tools.
  • In-depth knowledge of DHL Sales Processes (incl. GSP) and proficiency in sales tools and reports (i.e., COMET, Pricing, GSIP, GSP, etc.).
  • Proven track record in facilitation, delivering messages related to performance coaching and/or training.
  • Experience working with and delivering training/information to peers and senior leaders.
