who are you
You have knowledge of data analytical tools such as Excel, you speak Dutch or English and can start in February.- Year 3 or 4 of HBO/ BSc in Data Science, ICT, Business analytics, Business Administration or Systems Engineering

what will you do ...
The objective of this internship project is to design and implement a comprehensive Excel-based labmanagement tool to improve planning, traceability, and resource utilization in the Mechanical–Optical
Laboratory at the IOL manufacturing site. The tool will: Centralize lab data on disposables, equipment inventory, calibration schedules, and operator qualifications. Enable smart test scheduling where bookings are driven by test methods and automatically check:
- Operator qualifications for each method
- Equipment availability and calibration status
- Estimated test duration to support realistic time planning
- Prevent operator overbooking by using the estimated time per test to balance daily workload and ensure capacity is not exceeded
- Provide day-to-day and weekly planning dashboards, summarizing scheduled tests, resource utilization, and workload distribution
