Our client an international FMCG organisation is looking for a Capex buyer a.i. for their locations around Utrecht area and frequent travel to other EU locations.

• Drive the sourcing strategy for Capex investments supporting plant operations.
• Oversee full-cycle procurement for projects valued above €50K.
• Lead supplier contract negotiations to secure favorable terms and ensure compliance.
• Manage contract execution in collaboration with legal and project stakeholders.
• Partner with engineering, global procurement, and operations teams to achieve project objectives.
• Administer procurement platforms and tools, including SAP and Ariba.
• Track supplier performance and nurture relationships to ensure consistent quality and reliability.
• Support cost optimization initiatives and promote continuous improvement across procurement processes.

• Over 5 years of hands-on experience in procurement.
• Proven background in both greenfield and brownfield project environments.
• In-depth knowledge of CAPEX procurement processes, particularly in packaging equipment.
• Confident and proactive in integrating into dynamic project settings.
• Capable of managing procurement activities from the ground up in new project setups.
• Proficient in Ariba and SAP, with a strong track record in contract negotiation, approval workflows, and finalization.
