As a Senior Accountant you will be responsible for coordinating the activities in the accounting department, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting (month-end closing), preparation of statutory filings & tax returns, compliance with accounting standards and effective cost management.This role involves close collaboration with various departments across Cabot and the Shared Service Center.
How You Will Make an Impact:
- Oversee monthly, quarterly and annual closing processes ensuring accuracy, timeliness and compliance with GAAP & company policies.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, monitor financial performance
- Inventory accounting, conduct periodic physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
- Maintain an effective internal controls environment (SoX) to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Coordinate external/internal audits and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including tax filings
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in financial operations.
What You Will Bring to Cabot:
- Degree in Finance or Accounting.
- 3-5+ years accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of cost accounting principles, inventory management, and manufacturing processes is a plus
- Strong communication and analytical skills with attention to detail
- Proficiency in ERP systems and good Excel skills
- Critical thinking and willingness to take initiatives with continuous improvement mindset
- Knowledge of English and Dutch languages
